Lara Townsend

Lara Townsend is an experienced MFL specialist who has taught in a variety of schools in Suffolk and Essex. She has taught across the age range from KS1 to KS5 and was Head of MFL in a Language College for 4 years. Lara has also worked as a Primary Languages Advisory Teacher for Suffolk LEA. She is a SCITT Trainer and an independent MFL Advisor as well as being a Literacy Across the Curriculum Co-ordinator and Transition Lead in MFL at a secondary school in Essex.

Lara and Tracy have been working together as Languages in Primaries since 2013, supporting teachers and schools in the provision of quality language teaching and learning. As well as being actively engaged in classroom practice, their work encompasses teacher training, writing Primary Languages documentation and creating KS2 Schemes of Work that can be used in both single and mixed age classes.
