How do you approach a maths problem?
How can we show pupils that there can be many ways of solving a maths problem? They need to be able to identify a problem, and then how to solve it.

“Why is this one cheaper?” “Actually it isn’t!”
According to a quick search on my computer today, the average level of interest on a credit card for any payments not cleared by the due date is around 25%.
I’m sure many people with cards already know that, but I must admit it came as a shock to me.
