How fluent are your pupils in French?

What is the best way to promote fluency in French?

Acting is a fun way to practise French. And the good news is that you don’t need to be a drama teacher to get the most from it.

The plays in 12 Mini French Plays are short. Pupils will experience success quickly and develop confidence. Learning the scripts will develop fluency with both reading and speaking.

‘We already use this book at school and it is brilliant! I would recommend it to any Primary school who offers French!’ (Foreign Language Teacher at an Independent School in London which has been awarded ‘School of the Week’ by School House Magazine.)

Drama allows children to develop a range of skills useful for successful language learning:

  • listening skills
  • reading skills
  • expressive reading/speaking
  • memorizing through listening and repetition, etc.

The free downloadable audio files included with the book are performed by native French speakers. These audio files provide listening practice and help students develop good pronunciation.
