This assembly story highlights how easy it is to disregard disabilities, in this case blindness, and the trouble that can be caused by not considering others. There are some questions posed at the end of the story to initiate discussion.

This assembly is about visual disability. The Guide Dogs story started in 1931 with two amazing British pioneers, Muriel Crooke and Rosamund Bond. These remarkable women organised the training of the first four British guide dogs from a humble lock up garage in Wallasey, Merseyside. In 2021 the Guide Dogs organisation celebrated 90 years of extraordinary partnerships. Here is hoping for another 90 years helping thousands of people.
