The two Developing Reading Comprehension Skills Year 2 books help pupils develop the skills needed to read and comprehend non-fiction, fiction and poetry in Key Stage 1 and ensure a successful transition to Year 3 using high-quality authentic non-fiction texts, and poems and extracts from children’s stories.

The Developing Reading Comprehension Skills series of books, for Years 3–4 and Years 5–6, contains high quality authentic fiction extracts or non-fiction passages. The worksheets link to the Reading Content Domain question types and are perfect preparation for developing reading strategies as children move through Key Stage 2.
