Two factors before
What are the two factors that a child must come to terms with before tackling a comprehension activity?
By and large, if an activity is enjoyable children find it easier to understand. And indeed vice-versa.
To put this into the context of a lesson, if a child understands what she or he is reading, then they will enjoy the reading.

What are the most effective ways of stretching the minds of gifted and talented children at KS2?
Gifted and talented children are as varied in their individual attributes as everyone else in the class, and so a wide range of approaches and activities is needed to provide them with the stimulus that they need in school.
