How do you like to train your brain?
Today is ‘National Train Your Brain Day’ in the United States. I don’t live in the USA but thought it was a fun thing to celebrate. What do you like to do to stimulate your brain? Here are some of my favourite ways:
- Crossword puzzles
- Worldle – my latest favourite!
- Learning languages
Of course, training your brain shouldn’t be something you do only one day of the year. Nevertheless, I found it nice to pause and celebrate things I do to keep my brain active!
It’s fun to try out new ideas!
I was chatting to Catherine Cantin, the author of 21 Fun Songs to Teach French Phonics and she mentioned that it would be great to have flashcards to go along with the songs, to help reinforce French phonics. We came up with two different versions which Catherine is going to trial in her school. Which would you find the most useful?
New cover image
As you will know if you are a regular reader of my newsletters, I love to show off our latest covers. We’ve just received this wonderful artwork from Molly Sage for the cover of our latest Boost Spelling Skills book.
Isn’t it clever? I’ll never spell ‘mosquito’ again without thinking of the word ‘quit’ inside it!
